Data protection information

This data protection notice applies to data processing in connection with all events held by Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, Franz-Haniel-Platz 1, 47119 Duisburg, Germany ("FHC", "Enkelfähig Academy", "us" or "we").

What are the purposes of data processing?

Your information is required to register for and participate in events and to receive up-to-date information from FHC (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 b) and f) DSGVO).
In addition, when you participate in trainings, we may collect statistics for matching with registrations whether and at what time you participated in the event. The legal basis for this is also Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f) DSGVO.

In order to send you the information by e-mail, we need your consent (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 a) DSGVO).

Is personal data passed on to third parties?

We use external service providers for data processing, who support us in the implementation of any training (e.g. in the operation of the training administration and in the sending of emails). These service providers process data only in accordance with the instructions and under the control of FHC and exclusively for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Furthermore, we regularly involve selected cooperation partners at our events who have access to the participant lists via our registration system. The information that can be viewed is limited to name, company and position. The data may not be used for other/external purposes.

How long is personal data kept?

We store data for as long as you wish to receive information and invitations to events or we wish to remain in contact with you.

Do you have a right to information, correction, deletion, objection?

You can request information about the data stored about you and have the right to receive a copy of your data. In addition, you can request deletion or correction of your data or restriction of the processing of your data in justified cases. You can revoke your consent to receive e-mails at any time with effect for the future. You may object to the processing of your data purposes at any time at akademie@haniel.de and unsubscribe from the events. To exercise these rights, you can contact our data protection officer (datenschutz@haniel.de). In addition, you can contact the Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information NRW as the responsible supervisory authority. Person responsible for data processing

The responsible party for the processing of personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) GDPR is Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, Franz-Haniel-Platz 1, 47119 Duisburg, Germany.

Purpose and legal basis of processing

The processing of the images (collection, storage and forwarding to third parties) is based on the explicit consent of the person(s) concerned or the person's legal guardian(s) in accordance with Art. 6 (1) letter a GDPR within the scope of the purpose of consent.

Categories of recipients of the personal data

The images will be passed on to the users within the scope of the consent. Furthermore, the images will be passed on to the commissioned agencies for the creation and publication of print (publications), if applicable. In the context of uploading the images to social networks, the images will be passed on to the relevant providers of the social networks.

Duration of the storage of personal data

The images will be stored indefinitely subject to revocation of the consent of the person(s) concerned.

Right of withdrawal for consents

The consent to the processing of the images can be revoked at any time with future effect. The revocation must be issued in written form (e.g. letter, e-mail, fax) to the above contact details of the responsible person.

Data subject rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

  • If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • If incorrect personal data is processed, you have a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR).
  • If the legal requirements are met, you may request the erasure or restriction of processing, as well as object to processing (Art. 17, 18, 21 GDPR).
  • If you have consented to the data processing or if a contract for data processing exists and the data processing is carried out with the help of automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
  • Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LDI-NRW).
